Engage, Connect, Create with "Wonder"!
Bringing stories to life with Wonder by R. J. Palacio
This practical webinar is designed for teachers who already use Black Cat graded readers, as well as those curious about using storytelling to teach English.
We’ll explore Wonder by R. J. Palacio, focusing on activities that spark curiosity and make students excited to read. We’ll look at ways to connect students emotionally to the story’s powerful
themes —resilience, empathy, kindness, and care— and help them reflect on their own lives.
Finally, we’ll move into the “Create” phase, using the story as a springboard for creative projects that extend the learning. You’ll leave with ideas that are easy to implement and designed to engage young learners deeply and meaningfully.
